Where This Information Came From
In recent years speech-language pathology journals have published three literature reviews, four systematic reviews, and one meta-analysis. These reviews analyzed more than 200 studies. Their conclusion was that most stuttering research is poor quality and most stuttering treatments don't work—but a handful of stuttering treatments have been proven effective in studies that meet the highest scientific standards.
